Electric nail file (e-file) bits are the interchangeable working heads that determine what job your nail drill performs. Having the correct bit for each stage of the service is essential for safe, effective, and professional results.

Different bit materials and shapes serve different purposes. Carbide bits are used for removing gel, acrylic, or Polygel product during refills and removal. Ceramic bits are gentler and generate less heat, making them suitable for cuticle work and natural nail surface preparation. Diamond bits offer precision for detailed work around the cuticle and sidewalls. Sanding bands are disposable and used for general shaping and finishing.

All e-file bits used in a professional salon environment must be either single-use or properly sanitised between clients. Metal bits can be sterilised in an autoclave or disinfectant solution. Disposable bits such as sanding bands should be used once per client and discarded.
